Welcome to Blacktown Aquatic Centre, a premier swimming facility located in the heart of Blacktown city. We are Western Sydney's main competition pool, hosting over 50 swimming events each year. With 3 inviting pools, a colourful splashpad, a fully equipped gym and group fitness studio, our centre is a haven for both water and fitness enthusiasts!  

Our centre also has a rich history, including the time when Kieran Perkins broke the 800 m Freestyle World Record in 1992! We recently celebrated our 60th anniversary! Read our timeline(PDF, 4MB)

Monday to Friday

Indoor lap pool: 5.30 am - 7.30 pm

Gym: 6.00 am - 9.00 pm

Outdoor pools (including splash pad): 3.30 pm - 7.00 pm

Saturday

Indoor lap pool: 6.00 am - 5.00 pm

Gym: 6.00 am - 5.00 pm

Outdoor pools (including splash pad): 10.00 am - 5.00 pm

Sunday

Indoor lap pool: 8.00 am - 5.00 pm

Gym: 8.00 am - 5.00 pm

Outdoor pools (including splash pad): 10.00 am - 5.00 pm

Winter pool closures

Our last day of operations for our outdoor and seasonal pools will be Sunday 30 March 2025.

We would like to thank you for your patronage this summer season.

A. Eligible pensioners applies to:

LGA residents pension concession cardholders - Aged, Bereavement, Carer, Disability Support, JobSeeker or Youth Allowance and Parenting Payment Single.

B. Concession entry includes:

1. Non-LGA resident pension concession cardholders - Aged, Bereavement, Carer, Disability Support, JobSeeker or Youth Allowance and Parenting Payment Single. 2. Pension concession cardholders Aged, Bereavement, Carer, Disability Support, JobSeeker or Youth Allowance and Parenting Payment Single. 3. NSW Government senior cardholders. 4. Full time students on production of a valid (dated) identification card from their respective educational institution. 5. Australian Government Department of Veteran Affairs Veteran Card holders.

C. Commonwealth companion cardholders:

The cardholder presents their card to receive free entry for their companion. Normal entry fee applies for the cardholder.

D. Family passes:

Family recreation swim and family 10 and 20 entry passes may be for any 5 members of the 1 family and are not transferable. A family is defined as; 2 adults and 3 children or 1 adult and 4 children. A child is defined as being aged between 5 and 15 years, or a full time student up to the age of 25 years still living at home.

Outdoor lap pool

Experience the thrill of swimming in our outdoor, heated Olympic Pool! With 6 lanes, a 50m length, and a depth range from 1m to 1.9m, it's perfect for enjoying a refreshing swim under the open sky. Dive in and enjoy the best of outdoor swimming!

Outdoor toddler's pool

Let your little ones splash safely in our outdoor Toddler's Pool! With a gentle depth range of 0.3m to 0.75m and sun shelter, it's the perfect spot for fun and safe water play. Enjoy a worry-free day out!

Outdoor splash pad

Cool off and have fun at our outdoor Splash Pad! Designed for children of all ages and abilities, it features exciting water jets and special water features for endless playtime. It's the perfect spot to beat the heat and make a splash!

 

Fun Fact!

This splashpad was designed in collaboration with First Nations artist Leanne Watson, a Dharug woman from the Burubirangal and Warmuli family groups. Leanne’s artwork highlights the connection of Dharug people to local waterways and incorporates imagery of native aquatic fauna. Her colourful art helped bring the splash pad to life.
